The saying that "Time flies when you're having fun" is so true. But I'd like to add that "Time flies when you have children". It's just gone in the blink of an eye. One moment you're pregnant, the next you're holding a precious little babe in your arms, comforting them, bonding with them. Next thing you know, they're going to their first day of elementary school, shuffling them around for baseball and soccer.
It seems like yesterday that I found out that I was pregnant with my sweet boy. He's now 7 and going into second grade. It also doesn't seem possible that my sweet baby girl will be 1 next week!! It seems like I just found out that I was pregnant with her. My sweet little girl, who will put a smile on your face.
This week I am getting ready to throw my baby her first birthday party! A party to celebrate the huge amount love we have for her. There are a lot of people who keep asking me why I'm having a party for her because she's only 1, that she won't remember it. My response is this. She may not remember it, but I will. I will have pictures that I will one day be able to share with her. Pictures of memories of her eating cake for the first time, being surrounded by friends and loved ones who want to celebrate that God blessed us with a beautiful little girl. Even though she won't remember it, we will have pictures that will capture this moment in time that other wise would be forgotten through time.
